Dr. Monika
Meet Dr. Monika, a patient-focused dentist dedicated to providing exceptional dental care at Sunrise Smiles. With a rich background and diverse experiences, Dr. Monika brings a unique perspective to Sunrise Smiles Dentistry.
Originally from Egypt, Dr. Monika grew up surrounded by the vibrant culture and Arabic language. In her earlier years, she discovered a passion for music, singing in the church choir and showcasing her talent on the keyboard. Dr. Monika earned a BDS degree from Cairo, Egypt in 2016 and afterwards she and her husband, Botros, embarked on a journey to the United States in 2016. Their first stop was Raleigh, NC, where Botros pursued a PhD in nuclear engineering.
Driven by her thirst for knowledge and a desire to understand the U.S. healthcare system, Dr. Monika seized the opportunity to take public health classes at New Mexico State University while living in Las Cruces, NM. A move to Minneapolis, MN followed, where she pursued her second dental degree at the prestigious University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. She earned her DDS degree in May of 2023.
In pursuit of their combined professional careers, Dr. Monika and Botros settled in Idaho Falls, attracted by the city’s natural beauty and the warmth of its people.
More About Dr. Monika
Equipped with comprehensive knowledge of dental procedures, techniques, and tools, Dr. Monika excels in extractions, restorative dentistry, and removable prosthodontics. Fluent in both English and Arabic, she ensures effective communication and personalized care for her patients.
Dr. Monika focuses on relieving patients from dental pain and discomfort, as well as educating them about the importance of maintaining excellent oral health. With her genuine care and expertise, she strives to create a comfortable and welcoming environment for all patients at Sunrise Smiles.
Dr. Joshua Reid Bell
Dr. Joshua Reid Bell is a local Idaho Falls man through and through. He loves to snowboard, play soccer and volleyball and enjoys hiking in the wonderful southeast Idaho region.
Dr. Reid is the youngest of six kids and now has six of his own kids from his marriage to the most beautiful redhead in the world. He continues to snowboard with his family. He and his wife are very active and play in the volleyball coed league at Apple Athletic and coed soccer through the Idaho Falls YMCA.
Dr. Reid dedicates his whole self to his schooling, career and hobbies. He’s even been featured on an episode of the TV show Extreme Makeover Home Edition for finish carpentry!
Dr. Reid graduated from Hillcrest High School in 1997 and went to Idaho State University on a full ride academic scholarship. He attended Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland Ohio and earned his DMD, or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry. Dr. Reid started dental school with one kid and finished with number four on the way.
More About Dr. Bell
Since 2006, Dr. Reid has served the Idaho Falls area with a knack for anyone to feel great after their appointments. Dr. Reid is certified in Lumineers so he can give his patients the perfectly white and aligned smile they deserve as well as CEREC to reconstruct and restore damaged teeth. He loves alleviating pain from toothaches. He continually stays up to date on new techniques and technologies that help him perform same-day crown appointments or quicken the process of removing wisdom teeth. Dr. Reid is a leader in using guided surgery with CT scanning and CAD/CAM technology to accurately plan and place implants.
He states the best part of his job is the people he gets to meet. Just in Southeast Idaho, he’s met a Hollywood movie stuntmen, managers of giant Vegas casinos, search and rescue scuba divers and so many more.
His highest achievement is the Best Dad Ever award his little girl has given him.
